Ways to watch Oscar-nominated films

The countdown to the big night has begun! The 97th Academy Awards airs on Sunday, March 2, and your library has a few ways to watch some of the year’s most talked-about films.

No need to wait on the red carpet—come to our 15th Annual Oscarthon movie marathon at the Main Library! We’ll have popcorn, raffle prizes, and Oscar-nominated films from the past year.

Day 1: Saturday, February 22

Wicked, 9:30 am-12:10 pm
Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman because of her green skin, and Galinda, a popular girl, become friends at Shiz University in the Land of Oz. After an encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads (PG-13 | 2 hr 40 min).

A Real Pain12:30-2 pm
Mismatched cousins reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother, but their old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history (R | 1 hr 30 min).

The Wild Robot, 2:15-4 pm
After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot called Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose (PG-13 | 1 hr 42 min).

Day 2: Saturday, March 1

Conclave, 2-4 pm
When Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with leading one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events, selecting a new Pope, he finds himself at the center of a web of conspiracies and intrigue that could shake the very foundation of the Catholic Church (PG | 2 hrs).
