An Open Books collection bin lives in the alley just north of the Main Library building at 834 Lake St. Access the alley by driving south on the 100 block of North Grove Avenue until you reach the cul-de-sac, then turn west (right).
Have too many books to fit in the bin? Contact Open Books pickup service. Any items left outside or next to this bin will not be accepted. Also to note:
- Not accepted: Magazines, textbooks older than five years, and general reference materials such as encyclopedias or books in poor condition.
- Temporary closures: Bin is unavailable during periods when our Friends of the Oak Park Public Library collect for Annual Book Fairs.
