Storytime Descriptions
BUSY BABIES for children up to 15 months, with a caregiver
Boost your baby's brain power with an introduction to simple booksplus
rhymes, songs and hands-on playtime.
MARVELOUS MONDAYS for children up to 24 months, with a caregiver
This open play group includes toddler toys, board books and music. Have
fun and socialize with other children and caregivers.
WONDERFUL ONES for children 12 to 24 months, with a caregiver
Created especially for energetic 1s, this storytime includes short books,
lots of fingerplays, and fun props.
TERRIFIC TWOS for two-year-olds, with a caregiver
For curious 2s, this storytime nurtures pre-reading skills through stories,
music and movement.
PRESCHOOL FUN for ages 3 to 5, with or without a caregiver
Through longer books, concept games, and ABCs, children will build important
skills for school in this stimulating session.
BOOK BUZZ for children in kindergarten through second grade, with
or without a caregiver

favorites.

Wear your PJs and bring a stuffed friend to this cozy evening storytime.
Storytime Guidelines
1. Storytime is drop-in, but room capacity is limited. Pick up daily
entry tags at the Children's Desk. First come, first served.
2. Storytimes are 20 to 30 minutes long. Please arrive earlylatecomers
might not be admitted.
3. To attend most storytimes at the Oak Park Public Library, you must
have an Oak Park Public Library card. (See above for our storytimes
which are open to nonresidents.)
4. For the Library to present enjoyable and successful programs, we must
limit the number of attendees in a storytime. Due to high demand, we
ask that you only attend 1 program each week.
5. Please keep conversations and distractions to a minimumsnacks,
toys and cell phones should be put away.
6. Have fun, sing along, and check out some books to take home!
