Starting October 22, we’re switching up the Creative Studio Makery drop-in schedule to give people more time to create in our makerspace on Thursday evenings.
New drop-in hours on Thursdays will be 12-8 pm. Makery Open Hours remain the same on the other days of the week.
This change is being made to provide more evening access to the Makery for patrons who might not be able to make it into the library earlier because of work or other obligations.
What can you do in the Makery?
You can:
- Make buttons
- Print full-color designs on sticker paper, cardstock, and transparencies
- Laminate documents
- Design and cut, score, or engrave approved materials including plywood, hardwoods, and acrylics
- Use the sewing machine
- Put full-color designs or even photographs on items like mugs and T-shirts!

Things to know
Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Free materials are available using the new Makery ticket system (ticket values vary depending on the material).
Patrons ages 14+ can work on self-directed projects, while ages 13 and under require an adult caregiver.
Machines are powered down, and tools are collected, 10 minutes before the end of each Open Hours session. All projects must be taken with you at the end of each session.

- Through October 15: 10 am-6 pm
- Starting October 22: 12-8 pm
- Friday: 1-5 pm
