Ways to watch Oscar-nominated films

The countdown to the big night has begun! The 96th Academy Awards airs on Sunday, March 10, and your library has a few ways to watch some of the most-talked-about films of the year.

  • The Holdovers, 9:30-11:45 am: A curmudgeonly history teacher at a remote prep school is forced to remain on campus over the holidays with a troubled student who has no place to go and a grieving cook (R | 2 hours, 14 minutes).
  • Oppenheimer12:30-3:30 pm: The story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the landmark development of the atomic bomb (R | 3 hours).

  • Past Lives10-11:45 am: Nora and Hae Sung, two deeply connected childhood friends, are wrested apart after Nora’s family emigrates from South Korea. Twenty years later, they are reunited for one fateful week as they confront notions of love and destiny. (PG | 1 hour, 45 minutes).
