Most Oak Park library cards never expire. Cards for educators and businesses expire after one year but may be renewed.

  • Have a card with a printed expiration date (issued before March 20, 2012)? You can renew it at any library location with your photo ID and proof of Oak Park address.
  • Lost or stolen card? Contact us so we can mark it as lost, which will protect you if it is misused. Show your ID at any library location to have a replacement card made.
  • Moved out of Oak Park? Contact us so we can update your library account.
  • Have a valid Chicago Public Library or other Illinois library card? You may have reciprocal borrowing privileges here. Registration is required on your first visit and must be renewed yearly.
