Request titles for pickup

Are you looking to reserve multiple copies of a title for your book club? Or are you a teacher needing multiple copies of a book for class discussions? Patron Services Coordinator Julie Meo helps reserve titles for pickup. Please note that titles published within the last six months may take longer to arrive. Email juliem@oppl.org or call 708.452.3412.

Check out a curated kit

A library Book Club Kit is a bag that’s checked out as a single item. Any Oak Park library cardholder can browse online and place a hold on a book kit or visit the Main Library Lobby in person to see what’s available. Each kit includes:

  • A list of similar titles for suggestions on what to read, listen to, and watch next
  • 10 copies of the same popular title
  • Discussion questions created by Oak Park librarians

Looking for ideas on what to read next, by genre and topic? Browse what we suggest.

  • Crime & Coffee talks history and crime with fellow true crime lovers over a hot cup of coffee.
  • Latine Author Book Cafe discusses works written by Latine authors. Spanish language copies will be made available when possible.
