On Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 19), all library buildings will be closed. We’ve gathered together title suggestions, online resources, and more to help you celebrate the life and legacy of one of the best-known leaders of the civil rights movement.

Contribute to a community ‘Dream Hands’ display

As a tribute to the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the library will display a collage of our community’s Dream Hands in the Main Library Idea Box windows through January 28.

To share a dream and be a part of this window display:

  • Get a blank paper Dream Hand at the Main Library.
  • Write out (or draw) your dream on the paper hand.
  • Return the paper hand to a library staff member, and we will display it on the Main Library Idea Box windows.
