3. See exhibits on display at the Main Library & Maze Branch

Material Remains by Jessica Hannah
July 15-August 15, Main Library

View works by artist Jessica Hannah. Material Remains is a return to an elemental relationship between human hands and the natural world. Her process begins with sheep’s wool, one of humanity’s oldest materials, and transforms it into textile. Her work is shaped by topographical maps and landscape textures tracing the way land is navigated, charted, and ultimately consumed. Informed by the clean lines of midcentury, she examines the frictions and harmonies of housing expansions and the natural spaces they displace.

Hidden Reflections by Caitlin Palagi
August 1-31, Maze Branch

View works by artist Caitlin Palagi. Hidden Reflections explores conversations between our inner and outer worlds. The ones we present to others and often ourselves, as a form of escapism. And the ones we work—both consciously and subconsciously—to hide. Why we hide ourselves and who we hide for constantly evolves, as does the presentation of who we are, ever forming new inner and outer worlds, a constant dialogue of hidden reflections.

Below are just a few ways to participate in a library-led event!
