Whether you’ve got a long-standing book club or want to start a new one—make it easy for everyone and check out a ready-to-read Book Club Kit! The kits are located on the Main Library’s second floor, near new fiction.
What’s in each Book Club Kit bag
- 10 copies of the same popular title
- Discussion questions curated by Oak Park librarians
- Lists of similar titles to give you ideas on what to read, listen to, and watch next
How it works
Each kit comes in a bag that’s checked out as a single item. Only one book club member places a hold on a kit. They must be an Oak Park cardholder.
Maybe that’s you! And then you get to be the hero who picks up the kit and distributes the books for everyone to read and discuss.
When your hold is ready, you pick it up at the library location you chose when placing the hold, including our indoor or outdoor lockers at the Main Library.
