Call to Order and Roll Call
The Governance Committee called the meeting to order at 6:20 pm.

Bylaws of the Board of Trustees Review
The committee Reviewed the Bylaws with redline edits removed to bring for a vote at the October full Board Meeting.
Board of Library Trustees Handbook
The committee discussed the next steps in creating a Trustee Handbook, we will bring the discussion to the full Board. The committee is willing to take this on.
Lost or Stolen Library Cards Policy
The committee reviewed the Lost or Stolen Library Cards Policy and they recommend passing the revised version.
Staff Library Card Policy
The committee recommends passing the amended version and taking out Trustees from the policy because we are all Oak Park residents who can get a library card.
Eligibility for Full Member Benefits Policy
The committee recommends adding the language that includes the Illinois Administrative Code section that both requires the policy, but also makes no one eligible because OPPL isn’t the closest library for an unincorporated area in Cook County.

The Governance Committee adjourned the meeting at 7 pm.
The next Governance Committee meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4 at 6 pm.
