On Saturday, October 19, donate new and like-new children’s essential items to Cradles to Crayons, a nonprofit that provides children living in low-income and homeless situations with the essential items they need to thrive—at home, at school, and at play.
Donations will be collected from 10 am to 1 pm in the Main Library Lobby. Most needed items include new and gently used:
- Winter coats: size newborn to adult medium
- Winter boots: size infant/toddler 5 to adult 10
- Pajamas: sizes 2T to adult medium (only new, please)
- Infant toys and toys for children 7-12 years old
- Baby board books
Donations collected by Cradles to Crayons will distributed to more than 50 social service agencies and school partners across the Chicago area who have requested items specifically for the children they are working with. Learn more and find other Chicago-area drop-off locations »
