Halloween-themed events

Haunted Trails & Tales
Monday, October 21, 6:30-7:30 pm, Main Library
. Get in the Halloween mood with spooky stories! Families will follow paths with story spots to hear various seasonal scares. Choose between light fright best for ages 3-6, or spine-chilling tales for brave 6-11-year-olds. A stationary light fright location also will be available, with fidgets and other sensory supports. Costumes encouraged but not necessary.

School’s Out Movie: Halloweentown
Friday, October 25, 3:30-5 pm, Main Library Storytime Room. A benevolent witch must save her peaceful home town from an invading dark force (PG, 1998).

Halloween Dance Party
Saturday, October 26, 10:30-11:30 am, Main Library Storytime Room
. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to monster mash it up! Best for ages 0-5. Costumes are encouraged.

Supported Storytime and Trick or Treat
Tuesday, October 29, 4-4:30 pm, Main Library Storytime Room. This class is designed for children with disabilities ages 3 and up with caregiver support. Classes are structured with visual schedules and include fun picture books and songs, along with fine and gross motor movement activities. Special supports like lap weights and fidget toys are available to help children be successful. Siblings welcome. This week, we’ll share lightly spooky stories and trick or treat in the library. Costumes not necessary.

Kid’s Multicultural Craft: Sugar Skulls
Tuesday, October 29, 4-5 pm, Maze Branch
. Learn about Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) by exploring artifacts from our Multicultural Collection. Continue the learning by creating an inspired craft. Best for ages 5+.
