We know every experience is as unique as you are! If you have five minutes, let us share how we think you can get the most out of your library this summer.

Ways to save with your Oak Park library card

  1. Visit places to play and grow, with discounts all throughout Illinois (including the Chicago Botanic Garden as seen in the photo above).
  2. Check out up to 200 items, and pay no late fines—but know replacement fees still exist.
  3. Stream popular movies, music, and TV series.
  4. Borrow instead of buying from the Library of Things (items like a Go-Pro camera, karaoke machine, or drill set).
  5. Just be, for free, in library spaces.

Ways you can connect at your library

  1. Dig into Oak Park’s unique history through a visit with your library’s Special Collections team.
  2. Attend a one-on-one learning session, with a digital learning team member by your side.

Speak with the library’s social services team, who can connect you to referral-based support. The team partners with 30+ organizations in the Chicago area. Examples include:

  1. Finding housing.
  2. Applying for social security and other public service benefits.
  3. Getting referrals for legal services and tax filings.
