Check out these 6 things to check out

1. Book Club Kit

What is it? An ideal tool for a book discussion! Each kit contains 10 copies of a title, a list of discussion questions, and a list of similar titles—all in a handy, dandy bag.

Where you can find it: On the Main Library’s second floor near the new fiction books.

2. Playaway Launchpad

What is it? Playaway Launchpads are tablets pre-loaded with high-quality learning apps and games for kids ages preschool through grade 5. No ads. No download time. No need for internet access. 

Where you can find it: If you’d like to use a Playaway Launchpad in the library, they are at the service desk in the Main Library Children’s Services Area. If you’d like to take one home, they are at the service desk in the Main Library Lobby.

3. American Girl Doll

What is it? A variety of 18-inch dolls that come with their own books, journals, and accessories.

Where you can find it: Near the service desk in the Main Library Children’s Services Area.

4. Mobile hotspot

What is it? Mobile WiFi hotspots are devices that can connect WiFi-enabled smartphones, tablets, and laptops to the internet from any location within Sprint’s 4G or T-Mobile coverage areas.

5. LCD Projector

What is it? A small, lightweight projector that allows you to view larger-than-life images from your HDMI-enabled device.

6. Museum Adventure Pass

What is it? Receive admission or a special discount at participating Chicago area cultural destinations! Available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Where you can find it: Some passes can be emailed directly to you or you can bring your Oak Park library card to the Main Library Lobby, Maze Branch first-floor desk, or Dole service desk to request a pass.
