As a result of an anticipated increased in vehicle traffic and planned street closures near the library, the Main Library garage entrance will close early—at 3 pm Saturday.
Also please note the garage will be closed all day on Friday, December 2, when the Main Library is closed for Staff Engagement Day.
Free parking Saturdays in December
Free parking will be available in the Village-owned Avenue Garage, Lake and Forest Garage, and Holley Court Garage the day of the drone light show and every Saturday in December.
Here’s a summary—by time—of what to expect this Saturday
- 3-5 pm
- Garage entrance to close
- Garage exit will remain open until 5:15 pm
- 4-5 pm
- Lake Street will be closed between Euclid (east) and Kenilworth (west) avenues
- Due to these street closures, library garage exit only permitted right (west)
- 4:45-5 pm
- 5 pm
- Light show concludes; Main Library closes and all cars must exit garage by 5:15 pm
