Web Page Addresses |
||||
|
Every web page has a unique address. This means that you can return to any page that you visit (there are exceptions to this rule) by remembering its complete address. Knowing the complete address is helpful for returning to the page at a later time. Web page addresses are not senstive to capitalization. A second important reason to pay attention to these addresses is that they can tell you about who is responsible for the page at which you are looking. The technical name for a WWW address is a Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Most people don't use the technical name, and, simply use the term address. |
