Simple Searching: Searching Subject Directories
If you go to Yahoo!, type 'gene hackman' into the search box and click the search button (or just hit the Enter key), you will see the following results.
You can see that Yahoo! returns a lot of information. The most important parts to pay attention to are these:
- Category Matches: shows any web pages in Yahoo!'s directory that have Yahoo!-assigned category words that match the words you typed in your search.
- Website Matches: shows any web pages in Yahoo!'s directory whose title or description match the words you typed in your search.
