Interior Designers for the Main Library Project

In May of 2001, an award-winning, multi-discipline interior design firm, Eva Maddox Associates, Inc. of Chicago was selected to design the interior of the new Main Library. Eva Maddox has been in business more than 30 years, with more than 70 awards for her work. Her creations have been featured in 16 books and more than 60 magazines and journals.

Eva Maddox Associates, Inc. will be responsible for selecting color schemes, floorcoverings, and equipment for the new, three-story Main Library. They will put special emphasis on areas like the lobby, meeting rooms, children's storytime room and exploratorium, and the silent reading room.

Eva Maddox and members of her staff began by meeting with library staff to determine space and equipment needs within the new Library. They also held focus group discussions with both teens and adults in the community. On August 15, 2001 Eva Maddox presented interior designs for feedback from the community.
