Caisson
Installation Begins
In June bracing installation of the temporary earth retention wall was
completed and fifty truck loads of three-inch stone were spread to provide
a stable work surface at the excavated site. Installation of sixty caissons,
45-foot deep concrete tubes on which the foundation of the new building
will be set, began.
