Renew Item
All items may be renewed twice if no other patron has requested
the item.
Renew Online
Renewable items can be renewed online before the first overdue
notice is generated. Have your Oak Park Public Library card
number ready and follow these instructions
to login
to your account and renew online.
Renew by Telephone
Renewable items can be renewed using the automated renewal system.
Have your Oak Park Public Library card number and pin number
(the last four digits of your telephone number unless you have
changed it) ready and call Telecirc at 708-452-3400. Renewable
items can be renewed individually using the items barcode number
or all together without barcodes. Renewable items that are overdue
can be renewed via Telecirc only before the first overdue notice
is generated. Telecirc operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
except Mondays from 2 a.m. through 7 a.m. when Telecirc undergoes
routine weekly maintenance.
Renewable items can also be renewed by telephone when
the Library is open. Call the Circulation
Services Department (708-452-3409), the Dole
Branch, or the Maze Branch.
Renew in Person
Renewable items can be renewed in person when
the Library is open.
How to Renew Online
You will need your Oak Park Public Library card number to renew
an item online. Some items are not renewable. Renewable items
can be renewed online before the first overdue notice is generated.
The online renewal system is inaccessible Monday mornings from
12:45 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. due to routine system maintenance.
1. Access
the Library Catalog and click on the "My Account"
tab at the top of the screen.
2. Enter all 14 digits of your library card number (without
spaces) and enter your pin number (the last four digits of
your telephone number unless you have changed it).
3. Click on the "Login" button and an overview of
your account will appear.
4. Click on "Checked Out" under the "My Account"
tab to see a list of the items borrowed on your library card.
5. Click on the small box to the left of any item you wish
to renew and click the "Renew Selected Item(s)"
button.
6. It is important to check the due dates to determine whether
your item has in fact been renewed or if an item
is not renewable.
7. For more extensive account instructions click on the red
"Help" button at the top right of the screen.
8. When you are finished click on the red "X" button
at the top of the screen to protect your privacy and logout
of your account.
