Children's Services
The Children's Services Department serves children from birth
through fifth grade. Children may use their library
cards to borrow all circulating items at the Oak Park Public
Library. The Library does not limit children to specific collections.
It is the parents' responsibility to guide their children's
borrowing.
The Children's Services Department also offers reference assistance.
Librarians can find many print and non-print resources to help
in selecting or finding information.
Tours and group visits are available for school classes, scout
groups, daycare, and parent groups. Call the Children's Services
Department at the Main Library at 708-452-3420 to make an appointment.
A Children's Librarian will meet your group at any of our library
locations.
The Children's Services
Department Fact Sheet (PDF file) offers more information
on collection materials, programs, and services.
